Pricing

The rules are public. The number is yours.

Turnaround, what a price covers, everything that moves it and the whole volume ladder are on this page, so you can see how a case is costed before you speak to anyone. The figures themselves are quoted to your account in writing. No minimums, no annual contract, and one ladder for every practice — the tier is a rule, not a negotiation.

The list

Every product, its bench time and what the price covers.

Lab days are indicative working days in the laboratory and exclude transit — the two are quoted separately, always. They are the figures we plan against while committed turnaround is agreed per category with our laboratory. Where a product is priced by material, every material is listed with its own figure rather than the cheapest one standing in for all of them.

Read this first

  • Rates are wholesale, per unit, in US dollars, quoted to the practice rather than to the patient, and given to your account in writing when it opens.
  • They are delivered, duty paid. Shipping and any import duties are ours. Prescription dental prostheses are exempt from sales tax in most states and we do not charge tax on any line today, so the figure you are quoted is the figure on the invoice. Where we are ever required to collect it, it appears as its own line and is never folded into a unit price.
  • Models and dies are included, not itemised afterwards. A guard arrives with its printed model, and a quadrant model is not a separate line on your invoice.
  • A small number of products are quoted per arch or per case rather than per unit. The basis is printed against every product below, so you always know what a quoted figure will cover before you ask for it.

Why some lines say on request

Every product above that shows a basis is one our bench has quoted and we can make today. The catalogue is broader than that on purpose — we intend to cover everything a practice needs — but we would rather show you the gap than quote a figure nobody at the bench has agreed to. Being priced means the work is agreed and the rate is being settled. Agreed with our laboratory and being priced now. We will publish the rate here as soon as it is settled, and you will see it before you are ever asked to use it. On request means write to us and we will come back with a real number and a real date, or tell you we cannot.

Volume

The better rate is a rule, not a negotiation.

Send more work and the rate improves on a published ladder. You do not have to ask for it, and you will not be quoted one figure while the practice down the road is quoted another.

500+ units a month

From 500 units a month. Our best published rate, on every item we make.

Tiers are reviewed with you against your recent volume — a single quiet month does not move you, and a change of tier is a conversation before it is an invoice. Your current rate and the tier above it are both shown in your account, on the same page as your prices.

What changes the price

Six variables, and one that deliberately is not on the list.

A quoted rate is a starting point. Here is everything that moves it, so nothing on an invoice is a surprise.

01

The material you prescribe

A full-contour zirconia crown, a translucent one and a hand-layered one are three different amounts of bench labour, and the list reflects that rather than averaging it into a single crown price.

02

Models and dies are in the price

Printed models, dies and articulation are included, not itemised afterwards. A guard arrives with its model. If you have been billed separately for a quadrant model or a reduction coping before, that line does not exist here.

03

Span, units and complexity

Crowns and bridges are priced per unit, pontics included — a three-unit bridge is three. Guards and splints are priced per arch, so upper and lower is two. Your case is counted from the teeth you select when you submit it.

04

Rush, with no surcharge

On fixed and appliance work, rush compresses laboratory time and is not billed as an extra. What it cannot compress is transit, so we quote the delivery date we can actually hold rather than the one you would prefer to hear.

05

Delivered, duty paid

The figure you are quoted is the figure on the invoice. Shipping and any duties are ours, not a line added at the end — you should be able to cost a case from your rate card without a freight table and a map.

06

Volume, on a published ladder

Regular work earns a better rate, and the rate card is on this page rather than behind a negotiation. No minimums, no annual contract, and nothing you have to ask for — the tier is a rule, not a favour.

07

What does not change it

Tenure, the size of your practice, or how hard you are willing to haggle. Two practices sending the same volume pay the same figure, and neither of them had to be good at negotiating to get it.

Prices are reviewed periodically, and a change is sent to your account in writing before it takes effect. A case is priced on the day it ships, at the list in force that day, and that price is fixed onto the invoice — a later change never rewrites work already sent or an invoice already issued.
